Otherwise, you had to sit on the bed, or at a little vanity table. Oddly, there was only one comfy chair and ottoman in the room. The room also has slippers and two robes, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, and a large TV! Plenty of closet and drawer space for two. Nice soaker tub (no jets, though), a glorious rain forest shower that can easily hold 5 or 6 people, if that's your thing, two sinks, and tons of towels, and toiletries. It's glorious! The room itself is quite large and beautifully appointed. The courtyard included a plunge pool, a hammock (which I loved who knew?), two loungers, a stocked wet bar, and a covered patio area with table and chairs for outdoor eating. You walk through a gate that opens to your private courtyard. I think they gave me a suite upgrade, from a Plunge Suite to a Premium Plunge Suite, since they weren't crowded. My butler, Jada, met me at the front of the resort and gave me the skinny on pretty much everything. I suspect it would be difficult or impossible to get a suite as a single, in their busy season. It caters very much to couples, but I never felt uncomfortable or like a third wheel, even though I was a single traveler. Never the less we did enjoy our stay ,it was very relaxing ,thank you to all the staff ,Grace de Brunier More Show lessįirst, the resort, because it really is fantastic! I just spent a week there, and since it's off season and they were not anywhere near capacity. However two things were disappointing ,although we enjoyed our day at the beach ,the beach is not very pretty ,there is a lot of seaweed ! And it’s not exactly romantic when you have a tractor passing every half hour to take it away ! Also the catamaran cruise was also a disappointment ,there were 12 couples crammed on the boat ,we did not go in the direction of the Pitons and the view we had was a rusted tanker and some silos ! Maybe we should rethink this excursion with less couples and a different destination. Also I had hoped to eat more fish and that was scarce on the menu. The room was pretty and the staff kept it impeccable ,the girls often left little inspirational notes on our bed ! A nice touch ! The breakfast and lunch were always excellent at the Greathouse restaurant ,the dinners too ,but after a week you have tried everything on the menu ,a little more variety would be nice. We had a lovely stay ,all the staff are extremely friendly and helpful ,our butler Rochel and the two others Angus and Ansai were wonderful. My husband and I spent 7 days here from 4 th June to 11 th June.
